The Mahar Regimental Centre Primary School was established in Oct 1954 as Kindergarten institution as at that time no such school facility was available in close vicinity for the children of service personnel. The School was run as Bal Vidyalaya and registered under Madhya Pradesh registration society Act XXI of 1860 No 128 dated 22 Mar 1956. Subsequently, during 1978, part of the school was converted into Kendriya Vidyalaya No1, Saugor. Montessory classes, however, were retained and the school continued as Balak Mandir till 1978, after which it was upgraded to Class II and named as Little Rose Kindergarten School (LRKGS). In 1982, the school was upgraded to Class V and named Mahar Regimental Centre Primary School (MRC PS).
In the year 2018, the school was seperated from Mahar Regiment Public School & named as Mahar Children Academy.
Mahar Children Academy, Sagar is a Co-educational school affiliated to Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. It is managed by Bal Vidyalaya, The Mahar Regiment Centre.
In its journey towards excellence, the institution has evolved over a period a premier education institution with emulating academic standards to reckon within entire saugor district. The school today, is home to more than 1000 children from Defense and Civil background. Being administrated and monitored by one of the most illustrious Regiment of the Indian Army, as a welfare measure forwards of soldiers of the Mahar Regiment and other children residing in Sagar, the school aims at all round development of the children besides inculcating high moral cultural values and ethical conduct.
